Sorry, "too sexy" Avril Lavigne, you are not for Malaysian (well, not all Malaysian, I insist, just them, at least.)
It is not timely. It's not in the good spirit of our National Day. If we go ahead with the concert, it is contrary to what we are preparing for.
We don't want our people, our teenagers, influenced by their performance. We want clean artists, artists that are good role models
Last year, R&B singer Beyonce moved her show from Malaysia to Indonesia, and Christina Aguilera skipped the country on an Asian tour after a controversy erupted over a dress code for foreign artists.
I'm not a particular rock fans, I'm not avirl lavigne's fan, nor beyonce's, nor PCD's, nor christina Aguilera's fans.
Dear YB, please exclude me from the "we", the images and performances of these artists, including but not limited to Avirl lavigne, beyonce, PCD, christina doesn't offend me even abit, and are not "too sexy" for me.
I am not as "noble" as those would be nobles, I'm merely human, I have emotions, I have desires, but I have the ability and will to control them, accept them as part of me, instead of classifying these artists as "inappropriate" and prohibiting them from coming to me.
STOP DECIDING FOR ME, YOU ARE NOT MY FATHER(and he never does that, either)AND STOP MAKING US, YES, I MEAN "US" LOOK AS BAD AND CONSERVATIVE AS YOU ARE.
Malaysia cancels "too sexy" Avril Lavigne concert on 29th Aug 2008
